Grand Expeditions Inc., Boca Raton, FL 2000-2001
  • Responsible for building, developing and managing a new sales team for the affinity channel of Grand Expeditions’ Eco-Adventure platform, which was comprised of four companies – International Expeditions, Park East Tours, Country Walkers and Voyagers International.
  • Hired and managed six people for the team including five Sales Directors and one Administrator.
  • Developed and implemented a new sales structure for the platform and protocols for working with four very different companies to effectively execute a unified sales strategy.
  • Directed implementation of customized sales management and tracking tools with Siebel software.
  • Responsible for annual sales of $30+ million.
Chief Operating Officer, Voyagers International
  • Voyagers International designs and operates natural history and photographic tours throughout the world and runs trips for some of the country’s most prestigious organizations including the Field Museum, Harvard Museum, World Wildlife Fund and San Diego Zoo.
  • Responsible for all sales and marketing activities, destination planning and coordination, as well as general tour operations.
  • Co-managed staff of 17 employees that included hiring/termination process, performance reviews and work flow analysis. Also, managed and supported over 25 contracted trip leaders.
  • Responsible for the general strategy of the company both long-term and short-term.

  • Nature Expeditions International (NEI) is an adventure travel & ecotourism company, founded in 1973, that designs and operates cultural, wildlife and natural history expeditions to more then 24 countries on all 7 continents.
  • Quadrupled NEI’s revenues in the five-year period from 1994 to 1998. At the same time, invested in areas to help build the company including: higher quality marketing materials, new computer system, customized CRM database program, new accounting system.
  • Responsible for every aspect of the company's operation including trip design and coordination, marketing, sales, finance/accounting, operations and managing employees.
